Ever wondered how the celebs look so good?  Well the simple answer is the ‘help’.  Most celebrities these days have a team of stylists at their beck and call, a salon connoisseur on speed dial, a nail technician’s willing to drop every appointment in order to fit them in, designer’s queuing up to dress them, personal trainers working their magic in order to tone them into perfection and dieticians and nutritionist’s making up healthy eating plans for them!

Well all of us aren’t that lucky!  This doesn’t however mean we can’t look just as good, we just have to work a little harder at it!  But where there is a will there is a way and you to can look like an A-list celebrity if you know how!

Firstly you must know how to dress, many department stores and boutiques will offer customer’s a one on one session with a personal shop assistant.  They are there to help you find pieces that flatter you.  They are also trained in knowing what pieces will suit what shapes.

You may think that teeny little black dress looks a million dollars on the hanger, it may however not be the best piece for you.  Buying clothes that look like they were made for you and only you is certainly one way to look like you have just been fitted by your own personal tailor.

Learn to know what brands and fits suit you, this way you will know exactly what to look for when you need to invest in that one amazing piece for an up and coming, unmissable event.  You will also know exactly where to look.  Some brands have designed their pieces for a certain figure and one way to both look good and feel confident is to dress in something that fit’s you like a glove!

There is no use in shopping in a store that tailors to the boyish figure when you have super sexy curves.  The same applies for those with a tall and slim figure shopping in a boutique designed to dress the more curvacious figure!

Abbey Crouch, Kelly Brook, Olivia Palermo and Kate Hudson were all seen sporting some pretty daring dresses at the fashion Oscars this season!

Such creations came in the shape of Giles Deacon designs, Carlos Miele creations, Matthew Williamson masterpieces and Stella McCartney sheer styles.

As well as all of the above leading ladies sweeping the floor at the fashion Oscars, there was one particular stylista that caught our attention.

Miss Victoria Beckham not only looked one million dollars, she in fact won the designer brand of the year at last week’s British Fashion Awards.  She was very tearful on acceptance of the award, as we all would be on such a major appraisal!

The leading lady wowed in a black number from her own collection of course and teamed this sheer floor length dress with simple studs, smoky eyes, natural lips, swept back hair and her trademark skyscraper heels.

Victoria’s frocks have caused a huge stir in the fashion world and she currently dresses the likes of Cheryl Cole and Cameron Diaz.  There was however a little drama at the event as it is believed another stylish celeb snubbed the designer backstage.

Victoria Beckham’s dresses tend to ooze a certain element of sophistication, which makes them suitable to a variety of events.  These could be up market dinners, gallery opening, an important office meeting or alternatively an interview, if toned down with cutesy pumps as appose to skyscraper heels!

Team any one of her pieces with simple locks and natural make-up for a daytime look or alternatively statement eyes and luscious locks for an evening event.

Wherever you choose to wear one of Miss Beckham’s statement sophisticated numbers, you will guarantee to turn a few heads and will be most certainly the bell of the ball!  Dress up even further with statement jewellery.

Celeb style for summer!

Posted by on August 20, 2011 at 1:11 pm in Celebrities

Celebs have it down to a tee when it comes to style and it comes as no surprise when they are bombarded with designs from current designers on a daily basis, have a team of stylists behind them and have no qualms when it comes to spending what.

This season celebs appear to be sporting a low-key luxe look in cutesy coral colours and camel shades, this is perfect look to take you from summer and into the cooler months.  It is also a great style work as the neutral colours can be either dressed up or dressed down.

Camel pants are a must this season and offer a classic yet high fashion style in the shape of wide-legged pants that can be worn high waisted with crisp white shirts or a black silk tee and look great with either winkle picker heels or platforms.  Such trousers come with cute detailing and are perfect for both work and after work drinks at the bar!

Opt for a warmer coloured bag when wearing corals and camel shades, a red-maroon is a great style and should definitely be one of your investment pieces this season.

A body suit is another must-have piece and works well with an assortment of attire in the shape of skirts, pants and jeans and also looks perfect when a cardigan or blazer sit on top.

A trench coat is another must-have item and is the perfect piece to protect you from any summer winds or chills.  Throw it over work wear on a day or an evening dress on a night out.

Invest in a few pairs of boots in order to prepare yourself for the winter season.  Choose a distressed leather pair in tan for the day and an over the knee black pair for an evening on the tiles!

When the celebs come out dressed to the nines, there is always one that really catches our eyes and this is usually the look that appears in all the high street stores and all the stylish fashion forward thinking people’s wardrobes.

So what is this season’s must-have look?  Well to home in on just one look would be very difficult, especially after we have seen an array of movie premiers this season, where an assortment of stars were dressed up in designs from an array of hot designers.

However if you do like the look of one star in particular, sites such as ASOS and BooHoo allow you to replicate your favourite stars’ styles!  They even show you how the star in question wears the outfit and what accessories you should invest in in order to really bring the whole look together!

This season is really loving embellished and laid-back summer cool, so if you are after an outfit you can wear on a daily basis, why not look to the stylish stars in their off-duty attire as appose to on the red carpet, this way you will be able to create a look that is stylishly practical and can be worn on an every day basis as appose to a one off piece that can only be worn to an utterly glamorous do and will probably be never worn again!

Think statement prints, oversized arm candy, hats, oversized jackets, must have chunky sandals, 1970 style boots and satchels.  All of the above are what the stars seem to be sporting at the moment.  And if it is good enough for them its good enough for us!
